Obonjan organisers delay opening of Croatian island festival

Festival-goers hear last minute via Facebook of water and power failure on uninhabited island

A six-week music and wellbeing festival on the Croatian island of Obonjan, touted as the first of its kind, has been postponed on its inaugural day due to a power and water failure.

The previously uninhabited Obonjan was this year revived as a “curated island destination” by organisers, who scheduled a lengthy programme of music, talks, art, health and workshops. “Imagine crystal blue waters and star-filled skies. Amazing music and wondrous experiences,” the festival website states.
